After working for Rutt Custom Cabinetry for 20 ½ years and teaching evenings classes at Lancaster County Career and Technology Center for 11 years, it was time to make my dream come true.

George Robert Platt Artisans of Freestanding and Fitted Furniture was established in 2000. The mission was to build a shop where fine custom cabinetry and furniture could be built. The emphasis would be on quality of workmanship, materials used, and design to meet the individual expectations.

Our artisans will use their combined knowledge and skills to create your personal style desired. Using only time, honored joinery, and methods of both furniture and cabinet making in the process. We can build any style from traditional, contemporary to transitional using only the select solid and veneers materials available. Or if you so choose, the combination of several. Most of our work comes from customer referrals, so we let our work speak for itself.
